Centralised Lender
A general term applied to mortgage lenders, but not to high street banks and building societies, who mainly operate wholly from a head office location.
Some centralised lenders fill specific niches such as adverse credit with relatively small deposits, or buy to let without proof of income (based on rental income). Other centralised lenders cater for the whole of the market and will offer products to meet niche areas as well as more generally available mortgages and remortgages.
